The long-awaited favorite chats and groups feature is now officially available to all WhatsApp users, as confirmed by the latest update from Meta’s instant messaging app.
Previously, WhatsApp announced that it would introduce a feature allowing users to mark certain contacts and groups as favorites. Now, with the recent WhatsApp for iOS 24.16.79 update, this feature is rolling out to a wider audience.
According to WABetaInfo, the official changelog for the update reveals that users can now add favorites that will appear at the top of the calls tab and as a filter in the chats list.
To start using this feature, simply go to the app settings and open the favorites section. From there, you can easily add contacts and groups to your favorites list for quicker access. You can also manage your favorites by rearranging, adding, or removing them as needed.
Additionally, the update includes a new calling user interface (UI) with more intuitive controls, making it easier to use and enhancing the reliability of the calling feature.
If you haven’t received these features yet, don’t worry—they will be rolled out to all accounts in the coming weeks.
